Football Recap: Tyzer Zody Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win + How To Watch

Jefferson gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They took down the Baker Spartans 28-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Jefferson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyzer Zody led the charge by rushing for 99 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 141 yards and a pair of TDs. Zody also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss). Jefferson's leading receiver Mikael Richard was Zody's top target yet again, picking up 115 receiving yards and one score, while also punching in one TD on the ground.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Baker, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Jefferson will venture away from home to take on Broadwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Baker, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Colstrip at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
