Soccer Game Preview: Woodside vs. Saint Francis

Woodside is 0-5 against Saint Francis since December of 2014 but things could change on Wednesday. The Woodside Wildcats will host the Saint Francis Lancers at 5:00 p.m. Woodside will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Woodside's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against Notre Dame by a score of 2-0. The Wildcats' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Ruby Rodriguez and Ally Ortega scored both of Woodside's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Saint Francis' undefeated season came to an end after six games on Friday. They and Leland finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Lancers happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Woodside's win bumped their record up to 3-1-1. Saint Francis' draw makes their record 6-0-1 this season.
