Basketball Recap: Severn Run Falls Despite Big Games from Caleb Adamah and Jayden Gonzalez

While it was all tied up 23-23 at halftime, Severn Run was not quite Guilford Park's equal in the second half on Saturday. They took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Guilford Park Panther. While the Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panther 13-4 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Severn Run had strong showings from Jayden Gonzalez, who posted 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Caleb Adamah, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points and six boards. Gonzalez has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Anderson Ellis was another key player, putting up nine points.

Even though they lost, Severn Run smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive games.
