Softball Recap: North Johnston Panthers vs. Seaforth Hawks

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Johnston can now relate to. They fell just short of the Seaforth Hawks by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Panthers haven't been shut out since back in March.

Victoria Sasser spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, North Johnston saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mallori Woodard, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base.
