Basketball Recap: Legacy Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The Carmel School, Legacy Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Westmoreland Eagles with a sharp 70-45 victory. Legacy Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 21 points or more this season.

Legacy Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Hill, who went 11 of 19 on his way to 25 points along with five assists and five boards. Hill is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Malik Douglas was another key player, going 9 for 17 on his way to 22 points.

With the victory, Legacy Academy broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6. As for Westmoreland, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Legacy Academy has already played their next game, an 81-39 win against Amelia County on the 28th. As for Westmoreland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-54 victory against Grove Christian School on the 28th.
