Volleyball Recap: Simon Tech Comes Up Short

After flying high against TEACH Tech Charter two weeks ago, Simon Tech came back down to earth. The Huskies lost 3-0 to the Magnolia Science Academy Carson Vipers on Wednesday. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 0-0 to the Vipers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-8, 25-10.

ANNALYN ARREOLA had a dynamite game For Magnolia Science Academy Carson., getting 15 aces. Those 15 aces gave ARREOLA a new career-high. Another player making a difference was MARIELA VASQUEZ, who had five aces.

Simon Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Magnolia Science Academy Carson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Simon Tech will challenge rival TEACH Tech Charter at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Magnolia Science Academy Carson is set to square off against their familiar foe Alliance Health Services Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
