Football Game Preview: Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes vs. Seymour Thunder

The Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes will head out on the road to face off against the Seymour Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fox Valley Lutheran's defense has only allowed 11.6 points per game this season, so Seymour's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, Fox Valley Lutheran came up short against Freedom and fell 28-17. The contest marked the Foxes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Seymour entered their tilt with Waupaca on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Comets 34-14. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fox Valley Lutheran fell to 4-1. As for Seymour, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.

Fox Valley Lutheran barely slipped by Seymour when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 25-24. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Thunder's Xavier Salzman, who rushed for 205 yards and one TD, and also picked up 48 receiving yards. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Foxes still be able to contain Salzman? There's only one way to find out.
