Basketball Recap: Desert Vista Comes Up Short

After flying high against Corona del Sol last Friday, Desert Vista came back down to earth. The Desert Vista Thunder took a blow against the Sunnyslope Vikings on Tuesday, falling 71-42. The match marked the Thunder's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Desert Vista's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Sunnyslope, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Vista will host Brophy College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Sunnyslope, they will welcome Millennium at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millennium knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 matchups -- so hopefully Sunnyslope likes a good challenge.
