Rochelle Afo Manuma and Giselle Muffet secure win for West Jordan

The West Jordan Jaguars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Cyprus with points to spare, taking the game 76-61. Winning may never get old, but West Jordan sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

West Jordan was led to victory by Rochelle Afo Manuma and Giselle Muffet. Afo Manuma scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while Muffet scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Muffet has scored all season. Atyana Crosby was another key contributor, scoring three points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Despite the loss, Cyprus still got an impressive performance from Emilee Anderson, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Anderson scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Sela Ama, who scored ten points.

West Jordan pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Cyprus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Jordan will take on Granger at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Granger has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 14. As for Cyprus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hunter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Hunter is ranked 81st, while Cyprus is ranked 56th).
