Berlin entered their tilt with Platt on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Redcoats also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.

Madeline Mota made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Julia Matan was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Izzy Andersen, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Berlin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Platt only posted an OBP of .118.

Berlin's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Platt, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Berlin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Southington on the 14th. As for Platt, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-0 loss against Rocky Hill on the 14th.
