League recap: Gollin dominating on the mound for The Webb Schools

Prep league recap: 5/22/13

Nick Gollin was the best pitcher in Prep this week, leading The Webb Schools. He picked up one win and eight strikeouts.

Top honors in the league this week go to the Gauls, which finished with two wins overall, good for best in the league. The Webb Schools beat Carpinteria 5-2 and Windward 4-3.

Polytechnic boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

There were five hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. They were led by Aaron Digiamarino, who hit .667 this week (4-for-6).

Polytechnic's David Orndorff struck out nine batters over the past week, bringing his league-leading season total to 77.



Aaron Digiamarino struck out ten in the Gauls' 4-3 win over the Wildcats on May 17. Over six innings of work, he gave up three hits and zero runs.
