Football Recap: Kimani Dokes and Xavier Zambrano Secure Win for Vanden

Vanden waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Wood Wildcats 26-0. Considering the Vikings have won four games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Vanden's victory came down to the chemistry between Xavier Zambrano and his top target Kimani Dokes. Zambrano threw for 195 yards and one TD on only 17 passes while Dokes gained 76 total yards and a touchdown. That's the most passing yards Zambrano has posted since back in August.

Vanden's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Wood, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Vanden has already played their next matchup, a 40-27 victory against Pioneer on the 31st. As for Wood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 49-20 defeat against Vacaville on the 31st.
