Softball Recap: De Soto Wins Going Away Against Kickapoo

De Soto never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Kickapoo Panthers as they made off with a 9-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Panthers on Tuesday, they had to take a 5-2 loss.

The result came thanks to Ella Koch's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Sascha Doll was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Josie Hanson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

De Soto's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Kickapoo, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-8.
