Volleyball Recap: Williams Field Victorious

Williams Field saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Catalina Foothills Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Black Hawks.

Colten Mortensen paced Williams Field's offense, picking up nine kills. Mortensen got some help from Luke Raymond and his 20 assists. Mortensen was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Despite the loss, Catalina Foothills still got an impressive performance from Zane Schwartz, who had ten digs and five assists. That's the most digs Schwartz has posted over his last three matchups.

Williams Field's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Catalina Foothills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.

Williams Field has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against ALA - West Foothills on the 28th. As for Catalina Foothills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Shadow Ridge on the 28th.
