Baseball Recap: Cardinal Gibbons Takes a Loss

Cardinal Gibbons lost against St. Thomas Aquinas back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cardinal Gibbons took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Thomas Aquinas. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eddie Marshall made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Randy Petron, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Cardinal Gibbons' record now sits at 7-11. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cardinal Gibbons will challenge Killian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Killian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they will take on Spanish River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
