Soccer Game Preview: Rock Springs Christian Academy vs. St. George's

The Rock Springs Christian Academy Eagles will square off against the St. George's Athletes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rock Springs Christian Academy managed to keep up with Heritage Preparatory until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Eagles came up short against the Rams, falling 4-1. Rock Springs Christian Academy have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, St. George's kept a clean sheet against St. Mary's Academy on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 6-0 win. Given St. George's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 194th, while St. Mary's Academy are ranked 465th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. George's is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matches. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
