Softball Game Preview: Campbell Camels vs. Richland Bears

The Campbell Camels will square off against the Richland Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Campbell will be strutting in after a victory while Richland will be coming in after a defeat.

Campbell is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on North Pemiscot with a sharp 23-6 win on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Camels as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Sabine Johnson was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one double. Monica Serrano was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Campbell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Richland's offense. They lost 10-0 to Leopold on Wednesday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Campbell, their win bumped their record up to 3-13.
