Baseball Recap: St. Joseph's Prep Victorious

St. Joseph's Prep posted their closest victory since March 31st on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hill School Rams, sneaking past 7-6. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Tommy Murtha was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chris Steinmetz, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

The victory got St. Joseph's Prep back to even at 9-9. As for Hill School, they dropped their record down to 10-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, St. Joseph's Prep will challenge William Penn Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hill School, they will head out to take on Blair Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
