Basketball Recap: Anne Howard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Waterford over St. Joseph

Waterford lost against St. Joseph back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Waterford Ravens took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Joseph Jayhawks. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Waterford lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Anne Howard, who posted ten points.

Abby Gough had a dynamite game for St. Joseph, going 6 of 9 on her way to 12 points and five steals. Gough is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Katelyn Martinez was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Waterford's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for St. Joseph, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Waterford has already played their next contest, a 70-9 win against Wasatch Academy on the 30th. As for St. Joseph, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-17 victory against Freedom Prep Academy on the 30th.
