Recap: Shadle Park Highlanders vs. Ephrata Tigers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Central, Shadle Park was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Ephrata Tigers.

Zachary Wetmore was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and a triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Allison, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Shadle Park's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs per game. As for Ephrata, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shadle Park will take on Lakeside at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ephrata, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Othello at 11:00 a.m. on April 6th.
