Softball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 21-4 to the Cherryville Ironmen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gryphons of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cherryville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Coming up, Cherryville will face off against Lincoln Charter at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will be paying especially close attention to Cherryville's match: after Cherryville faces off against Lincoln Charter, they'll take on Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
