Soccer Game Preview: Silver Creek vs. Santa Teresa

The Silver Creek Raiders will take on the Santa Teresa Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Friday, Silver Creek didn't have quite enough to beat King's Academy and fell 2-1.

Silver Creek's goal came courtesy of Natalia Niebles, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Santa Teresa's offense. They lost 8-0 to Aptos on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 682nd, while the Mariners are ranked 175th).

Silver Creek now has a losing record at 3-4-1. As for Santa Teresa, they now have a losing record at 4-5-1.

Silver Creek beat Santa Teresa by a goal in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 2-1. Will Silver Creek repeat their success, or does Santa Teresa have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
