After a string of three wins, Crisp Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Covenant Academy by a score of 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since January 19, 2024.

Covenant Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Danielle Williams led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 boards. Williams has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rachel Williams, who went 6 of 12 en route to 14 points and eight rebounds.

Crisp Academy now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Covenant Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Crisp Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-24 win against Southwest Georgia STEM Charter on the 16th. As for Covenant Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-32 defeat against Twiggs Academy on the 14th.
