Soccer Game Preview: Epiphany vs. Cape Fear Academy

The Epiphany Falcons will face off against the Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Epiphany will be strutting in after a win while Cape Fear Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Epiphany needed a bit of extra time to put away Wayne Christian. They had just enough and edged out the Eagles 4-3. JoAnne McJunkin had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Falcons.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Cape Fear Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Dixon by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Hurricanes couldn't push the score so high this time.

The victory made it two in a row for Epiphany and bumps their season record up to 3-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two contests. As for Cape Fear Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1-1.
