The Beacon of Hope Christian Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Halifax Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. Beacon of Hope Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Beacon of Hope Christian pushed their score all the way to 80 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 94-80 bruising from Zarephath Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game two weeks ago (77), Beacon of Hope Christian still had to take the loss.
The losing side was boosted by Trisdan Fuller, who scored 41 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquis Sams, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, Halifax Academy waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Bridge to Independence with points to spare, taking the game 81-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Beacon of Hope Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-8. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Halifax Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Beacon of Hope Christian suffered a grim 65-44 defeat to Halifax Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Beacon of Hope Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
