Basketball Recap: Breckenridge Takes a Loss

Breckenridge lost against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Breckenridge Cowboys took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Breckenridge now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Breckenridge will take on Park Rapids at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Park Rapids knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Breckenridge likes a good challenge. As for Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, they will challenge Underwood at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Underwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
