Baseball Recap: Newman International Academy Comes Up Short

Newman International Academy entered their match against Non Varsity Opponent on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Warriors took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of Non Varsity Opponent.

Alberto Colunga and Noah Palmer stepped up to the plate in a big way. Colunga scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Palmer went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. Colunga has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last five times he's played. Israel Lopez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
