Basketball Game Preview: Superior Wildcats vs. Deshler Dragons

Superior and Deshler are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Superior Wildcats will head out to face off against the Deshler Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Superior has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 20.

Last Friday, Superior came up short against Red Cloud and fell 63-51. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 13-4 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Deshler really took it to Harvard for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-28 win. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season.

Deshler's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Superior, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Superior ended up a good deal behind Deshler in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, losing 47-30. Thankfully for Superior, Cameron Harding (who went 5 for 11 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
