O'Fallon came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Alton Redbirds. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in April.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant O'Fallon was: they took both sets by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-9.

O'Fallon can attribute much of their success to Niyam Ketan Patel, who had five digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Ketan Patel a new career-high.

O'Fallon couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 50% of their attack attempts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hitting percentage total in three consecutive contests.

O'Fallon's record now sits at 25-5. As for Alton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

O'Fallon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Vianney on the 8th. As for Alton, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Edwardsville on the 8th.
