Baseball Recap: Oasis Academy Falls Short of Yerington in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Oasis Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yerington Lions on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Bighorns have lost by exactly three runs.

Oasis Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Budner, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Fenn Mackedon was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Oasis Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-8 record this season. As for Yerington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 27-4.

Oasis Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yerington, they have already played their next game, a 15-7 win against North Tahoe on the 10th.
