Softball Game Preview: North Bullitt Eagles vs. Male Bulldogs

North Bullitt hasn't had much luck against Male recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The North Bullitt Eagles will host the Male Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Bullitt took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Fern Creek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. North Bullitt came out on top in a nail-biter against Fern Creek on Wednesday, sneaking past 4-2.

Amree Hammons was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Hammons was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Hammons wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Addison Ferguson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Male entered their tilt with Holy Cross on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with eight. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cougars a 10-0 shutout.

North Bullitt's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Male, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
