Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Christian Crusaders vs. Touchet Redhawks

The Riverside Christian Crusaders and the Touchet Redhawks will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Riverside Christian lost to Sunnyside Christian at home by a 66-50 margin. The Crusaders have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Touchet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-17 loss at the hands of DeSales. While losing is never fun, the Redhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Irish are ranked 87th).

Riverside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Touchet, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything came up roses for Riverside Christian against Touchet in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 70-9 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverside Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
