Basketball Game Preview: Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies vs. Sioux Falls Christian Chargers

For the first time this season, Elk Point-Jefferson will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sioux Falls Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Elk Point-Jefferson, who comes in off a win.

In Saturday's Canine Competition, Elk Point-Jefferson prevailed. They breezed past Madison to the tune of 69-40 on Saturday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Sioux Falls Christian ended up a good deal behind Lennox on Friday and lost 48-34. The loss put an end to the Chargers' undefeated start to the season.

Elk Point-Jefferson came up short against Sioux Falls Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 63-57. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
