Basketball Recap: Laytonville Comes Up Short

Laytonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Coquille Red Devils, falling 53-27.

Laytonville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Coquille, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laytonville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mendocino at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Coquille also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Myrtle Point at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
