Volleyball Recap: Pigeon Forge Beats King's Academy for Their Third Straight Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Pigeon Forge faced off against King's Academy on Monday. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won three games in a row.

Pigeon Forge wouldn't go down easily and took King's Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 16-25, 22-25, 25-15, 15-10.

Kylie Reddell paced Pigeon Forge's offense, picking up 30 kills. Reddell got some help from Rylinn Ginter and her 41 assists. Ginter also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sophie Maddox, racking up four apiece.

Pigeon Forge's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for King's Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pigeon Forge will take on Gatlinburg-Pittman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for King's Academy, they will face off against Concord Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
