Basketball Recap: Southcrest Christian Comes Up Short

Southcrest Christian easily dispatched Christ the King Cathedral back in January, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Southcrest Christian fell just short of the All Saints Episcopal School Patriots by a score of 20-17 on Tuesday. Southcrest Christian was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced All Saints Episcopal School earlier this season, when they won 33-24.

All Saints Episcopal School was led to victory by Hannah Owen and Lauren Brashear. Owen posted seven points and eight rebounds, while Brashear went 5 of 12 on her way to 10 points and five boards. Owen has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.

Southcrest Christian now has a losing record at 5-6. As for All Saints Episcopal School, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-16 record this season.

Southcrest Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for All Saints Episcopal School, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-46 victory against Christ the King Cathedral on the 7th.
