North Mac won the last time they faced Mt. Olive and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers walked away with a 43-35 win over the Wildcats.

Mt. Olive's loss came despite strong showings from Whitney Payne and Lauren Bailey. Payne dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards, while Bailey posted seven points along with six steals and five rebounds. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tori Schultz, who scored four points.

North Mac's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Mt. Olive, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

North Mac will face off against Sangamon Valley/Tri-City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Olive, they will challenge Dupo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
