Basketball Recap: Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies vs. Bowen Boilermakers
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies had no problem doing just that on Friday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 69-68 victory over the Boilermakers. Winning may never get old, but Horizon Science Academy-Southwest sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Bowen lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rae'Qwon Rogers. Despite the final result, he scored 28 points along with six assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashad Jackson, who scored 18 points along with two steals.
Horizon Science Academy-Southwest is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Bowen, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-9.
Horizon Science Academy-Southwest will square off against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Julian is coming into the game hot, having won their last 12 games. Bowen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
