Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Panthers vs. Milan Bulldogs

The Riverside Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Milan Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Riverside's tournament run continued when they took on Summertown on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Eagles.

Colt Brooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cole Yarbro, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Anderson Thompson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Milan came tearing into Saturday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the War Eagles get on the board and left with a 7-0 win.

Riverside's record is now 23-11. As for Milan, their record now sits at 20-7-1.

Riverside came up short against Milan when the teams last played back in May of 2025, falling 6-2. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
