Baseball Recap: Daniel Boone Takes a Loss

Daniel Boone had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 6-12 to make it four. They fell 6-1 to the Twin Valley Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Daniel Boone saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Hasara, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As for Twin Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games.

On Twin Valley's side, Nate Lord made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Lord was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Daniel Boone will challenge Governor Mifflin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Blazers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Twin Valley, they will take on Penn Manor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
