Softball Recap: Perry Central Comes Up Short

Perry Central and Enterprise squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Perry Central had to settle for second. They lost 23-13 to the Yellowjackets. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Peyton Merrill stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Aleesa Holt was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Perry Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-11-1. As for Enterprise, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-17-1.

Perry Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for the Yellowjackets, they will take on the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
