Basketball Recap: Caravel Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with St. Georges Tech

On Thursday, Caravel faced St. Georges Tech in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Caravel Buccaneers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the St. Georges Tech Hawks. If the Buccaneers were looking for revenge after losing 58-49 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Caravel's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for St. Georges Tech, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

While Caravel had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
