Baseball Recap: Choudrant Comes Up Short

Choudrant had taken D'Arbonne Woods down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Choudrant Aggies took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of D'Arbonne Woods. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Aggies of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Choudrant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braden Bagwell, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, Bagwell posted two hits, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

Choudrant is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. As for D'Arbonne Woods, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Choudrant will square off against D'Arbonne Woods at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for D'Arbonne Woods, they will take on Glenbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. D'Arbonne Woods' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Glenbrook's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
