Airport has gone 8-2 against Milan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Jets are taking a road trip to square off against the Big Reds at 4:30 p.m.

On Monday, Airport didn't have quite enough to beat Flat Rock and fell 6-5.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milan). They put the hurt on Jefferson with a sharp 15-3 win on Monday. The Big Reds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Cameron Dessellier made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has become a key player for Milan: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Dessellier was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Zack Straub was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Gunnar Kruise, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Milan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Milan's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6. As for Airport, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Everything went Airport's way against Milan when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Airport made off with a 13-4 win. Do the Jets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Big Reds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
