Basketball Recap: Jeff Davis Comes Up Short

Jeff Davis lost against Fitzgerald last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jeff Davis Yellowjackets came up short against the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane, falling 55-32.

Fitzgerald found their leader in sophomore Sanorra McKind, who posted 20 points. McKind continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexia Hayward, who earned eight points.

Jeff Davis' loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Fitzgerald, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-12.

Jeff Davis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fitzgerald, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-39 win against Brantley County on the 13th.
