Recap: Madison Plains Golden Eagles vs. Cedarville Indians
The Madison Plains Golden Eagles lost against the Cedarville Indians back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Madison Plains took a 35-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cedarville. While losing is never fun, Madison Plains can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 485th, while Cedarville is ranked 234th).
Despite the defeat, Madison Plains saw an underclassman step up: Claire Mason scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Mason is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Madison Plains' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cedarville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Madison Plains will head out on the road to face off against Greeneview at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Greeneview is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Cedarville, they will be playing at home against Greenon at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
