Baseball Game Preview: University Lab Cubs vs. Port Allen Pelicans

University Lab has gone a perfect 10-0 against Port Allen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. University Lab will take on Port Allen at 5:00 p.m. University Lab will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

University Lab's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Tuesday, when they got past Port Allen's usually-dominant pitching crew. University Lab walked away with a 10-7 victory over Port Allen.

Cade Conner was a standout: he scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jake McCann, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

University Lab pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Port Allen, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5.
