Basketball Recap: Maclay Takes a Loss

Maclay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Dawson County Tigers 59-21.

Despite the loss, Maclay still got an impressive performance from Lauren Guyer, who posted 11 points. That was a full 52.4% of Maclay's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Maclay's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Dawson County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Maclay will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Altha at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th. As for Dawson County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-46 defeat against Chestatee on the 3rd.
