Softball Recap: Central City Value Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rise Kohyang last Monday, Central City Value came back down to earth. The Jaguars fell just short of the USC-MAE Trojans by a score of 13-12 on Monday. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Central City Value got a massive performance out of Emily Fernandez, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Lea Crudi was another key player, going 5-for-6 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Central City Value's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for USC-MAE, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Central City Value wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-3 win against Annenberg on the 24th. As for USC-MAE, they have also already played their next matchup, a 28-2 victory against Downtown Magnets on the 23rd.
