Volleyball Recap: Minden Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Minden dropped to 25-9 on Saturday, ending the team's four-match streak of wins at home. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Adams Central Patriots. The Whippets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Myla Emery paced Minden's offense, picking up 17 kills. Emery got some help from Victoria Hansen and her 16 assists. Finally, Aly Cederburg kept Minden's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

As for Adams Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season. The game was the first time they have beaten Minden on their court since October 22, 2020.

Abigail Paradies had an outrageously good game as she had 23 digs and five assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October. Another player making a difference was Peighton Hinton, who had 22 assists and eight digs.

Minden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Adams Central, they will take on Milford at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
